Aline R. Coutu

Aline Forcier Coutu (1931-2017) Aline Forcier Coutu passed away in her sleep on January 20, 2017 at age 86 of natural causes at the Morgan Health Center in Johnston, RI. Aline was born in West Warwick, RI on January 19, 1931 to Rose and Arthur Forcier. She graduated from the Sacred Heart Boarding School. Aline married Albert Coutu in October of 1950 at the age of 19. They were married for 55 years until Albert passed away in 2005. Aline was an accomplished artist, musician, equestrian, and published author. She was classically trained as a pianist and worked as an organist in many churches around New England. She continually shared her love of music with those around her in many fondly remembered sing-alongs. Aline also enjoyed painting landscapes of her favorite places and chronically her memories in her two books. Aline and Albert were entrepreneurs and started many small businesses. Their proudest achievement was the establishment of Honey Lane Horse Farm and the Hunting Horn Tack shop in Dublin, New Hampshire. The farm offered horse boarding, training, lessons, and riding vacations for adults. Aline loved the horses, guiding trail rides, and arranging riding tours abroad. Aline is survived by three children, five grandchildren, and extended family. There will be no formal service at this time, but a celebration of her life will take place in the spring in Narragansett, Rhode Island. Those interested in attending should contact the family for details. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Beacon Hospice Care of Rhode Island.
