Alice Jean Neill

Alice J. Neill (Hooper), also known as Mrs. Matunuck, 90, of Wakefield, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at home. She was the wife of the late Alexander B. Neill, Sr. Born in Pawtucket the daughter of the late Edward Payson Hooper and Alice (Carr) Hooper. Alice was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for twenty years before retiring. She was an avid Bingo player; Red Sox Fan; reader; enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Judge Judy. She is survived by her children, Alexander B. Neill, Jr., Rory Neill, Andrew Neill and his wife Melissa, all of Wakefield, Cynthia Benson and Claudia May and her husband Joseph both of Warwick; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was the mother of the late James A. Neill and sister of the late Melinda Taylor and Edward "Buster" Hooper. Funeral services will be private where she will be buried with her late husband in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
