Alice M. Gaudet

Alice M. Gaudet, 106, formerly of Perkins Ave, Narragansett, died Thursday April 30th at Scallop Shell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late George O. Gaudet. Born in Tignish Prince Edward Island, Canada, she was a daughter of the late William and Sarah (Waite) Overbeck. Mrs. Gaudet worked at Allen’s Jewelry and United Plating for many years before retiring. She enjoyed making her yearly trips to her birthplace and family home in Prince Edward Island. She enjoyed bingo and was a devout Catholic. She was the mother of Phyllis Bardsley and Audrey Jackson both of Springhill, FL, Dolores Johnson of Tyler, TX, Marilyn McDermott of Warwick, Barbara Campbell of Clearwater, FL, Doris Dowling of Exeter and the late Ivan, Roy and William Gaudet. She also leaves 22 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours will be Monday 5-7 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
