Alfred "Al" C. Rarick, 53, of Exeter, passed away at home unexpectedly on Thursday, May 3, 2018. He was the loving husband of Kimberly (Holcombe) Rarick for 18 years. Born in Greenwich, CT, he was the son of Joyce Briggs and foster son of the late Raymond and Eleanor Hewins. Al worked for Rite Choice Builders for many years. Al was a Master Woodworker and working in his shop was what he enjoyed most. While woodworking was his passion, he also enjoyed tinkering with cars, being a handyman around the house, playing billiards and was a former body builder. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Courtney; brother Arthur Briggs and his foster siblings Raymond "Bub" Hewins, Bambi Watkins, Geraldine Hewins, Holly Buck and Richard Ewins; his in-laws Kelly Ohlson, Raymond Holcombe and Matthew Holcombe and his beloved pets Lola and Del. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 5-7pm followed by a prayer service at 7pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Als name may be made to the Animal Rescue Rhode Island, PO Box 458, Wakefield, RI 02880.
