Alfred H. Barnett

Alfred Henry Barnett, 82, of Narragansett, RI passed away on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024. Born in Stoddard County, Missouri. He was the beloved husband of Alboma Marie (Matuza) for 58 years and father of Kevin Michael Barnett.

Alfred was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1963 to 1967. He was also a Narragansett resident for 60 years. He loved baseball, was a diehard Cardinals fan and longtime supporter of Narragansett Baseball Recreation League, little league, senior league and Babe Ruth as a coach. He also volunteered for many years.

Family and close friends are invited to meet at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, RI on Monday, November 4th at 9 am. Immediately following, a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Mary Star of the Sea, 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett, 02882. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, George Schaeffer St., Peace Dale, RI. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Narragansett Little League.
