Remembering Al Signorelli
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Al Signorelli, who left us on April 30, 2025, at the age of 83. Al was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He had a big heart, a quirky wit, and never missed a chance to strike up a conversation—he truly never met a stranger.
Known to his family as “Scout,” Al spent most of his life helping others as a clinical social worker. He was a steady presence in the lives of so many, offering support in hard times and plenty of laughs along the way. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—chatting with folks around town, following horse racing, and taking his sister Cathy on casino trips.
Al was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Catherine and brother Victor. He is survived by his wife, Heather; his children Lisa, Jon, Peter, Jane and her husband Shawn; his grandchildren Gianna, Nina, Peter, Emma, Mia, and Nick; his sister Cathy and brother James; and a big extended family and circle of friends who will miss him dearly.
A wake will be held at Avery- Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield on Monday, May 5 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, and a Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday, May 6 at 10:00am at Christ the King Parish in Kingston, RI. Everyone who knew Al is welcome to come and celebrate a life full of love, laughter, and care.
In place of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Operation Stand Down RI, a cause close to Al’s heart, supporting Rhode Island’s homeless veterans.
Al left his mark on the world and on everyone lucky enough to know him. He’ll be missed more than words can say.
