Albert W. Damon Jr., 87, of Pine Hill Rd., Wakefield, died Wednesday at home. He was the husband of Kathryn (Chappell) Damon, for sixty-five years. Born in South Kingstown, he was the son of the late Albert W. Sr. and Barbara (Armstrong) Damon. Mr. Damon was the founder and owner of Damon’s Hardware for many years before retiring. He was a W.W. II U.S. Army veteran and a member of Hope Lodge 25 AF & AM. He was an accomplished furniture maker, including grandfather clocks and roll-top desks. Besides his wife he leaves a son, Albert W. Damon III of Minneapolis, MN; a sister Patricia Barrett of Wakefield and a brother Chester Damon of NY. The funeral and burial will be private.
