Albert James Browning

June 13, 1938 — June 6, 2016

Albert James Browning (Jim, Juju), age 77, of Jerusalem RI, passed away Monday. He was the husband and life partner of Lorna Chisholm Browning. Born in Wakefield, RI he was the son of the late Albert and Carolyn Browning and brother to Frank, David, Mary, Carol, Dorothy, Betty and Louisa. He was a graduate of South Kingston High and University of Connecticut, where he was an accomplished athlete. He was a Captain in the Armor division of the US Army for 4 years and then a successful owner of a sales and representative company in the wire and cable industry. He was well loved and considered a friend to just about everybody he met. He could always be counted on to make any ordinary daily routine a social event. He loved his cigars, whiskey, Frank Sinatra, his country, anything with a motor, tools, projects, the beach and any challenge (which he would most definitely rise to). Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, (whom he lovingly referred to as #1, #2 and #3) and their families, including his six grandchildren; Melissa, Brian, Kendal and Kylie Till; Lori, Bobby, Haily and Keegan Records; Stacie, Greg, Summer and Caroline Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 or online at www.pdf.org. Per Jim’s request there will be no wake, funeral or memorial but a casual celebration of life that will be held Saturday, June 18th, 1-4pm at The Anchor, 218 Succotash Rd. People are encouraged to write a story or memory and bring a picture, that can be compiled and shared at that time
