Adele Juodis

Adele M. (Flaherty) Juodis, 82, of Wakefield R.I., beloved wife of the late Walter Juodis, died Wednesday, (January 8, 2014) at Embracing Hospice in Cumming, GA. Adele was born in Boston, MA on September 6, 1931 to the late Patrick and Josephine (Butler) Flaherty. She was a dental hygienist in Brighton Mass when she met the love of her life Walter Juodis. They were married for 55 years. Their journey together involved living in Rhode Island, Indiana, North Carolina, Louisiana and finally, they followed their hearts back to RI where they retired close to the beach. Adele enjoyed a career in education and Real Estate throughout her life. Adele was a kind and giving person with a positive, joyful and uplifting spirit. She is survived by her three children, Betty Juodis of Flowery Branch, GA, David Juodis of Peachtree City, GA and Claire Juodis-Burnette of Smyrna, GA. She was predeceased by her brother, Edmond Flaherty and her sister Ruth Flaherty Hannabury. A service will be held on Wed., June 25, at 9:30 a.m. in the Columbarium Chapel at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter RI, where she will rest next to her husband Walter.
