Andrew Brendan Jennings

Our son Andrew Brendan Jennings, age 26, of South Kingstown, Rhode Island entered into eternal peace, with our heavenly father, on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of Ann (Largay) Jennings, Philip Jennings and his cherished stepmother Alison Jennings. Andrew graduated as an honor student from The Prout School in 2013. A naturally inquisitive and thoughtful student, he developed deep friendships with students and teachers alike. His love and connection with the outdoors and nature led him to attend the University of Vermont. Being one with the outdoors it is no surprise that he loved the mountains and was passionate about snowboarding. He was extremely creative with an artistic soul and a love for drawing. Andrew had a special love of the ocean and beach and he had a keen appreciation and awareness for the peace and serenity it brought to him. With a love for music, he was incredibly talented, playing multiple instruments including the guitar and piano. In addition to his parents, Andrew is survived by his loving siblings, Courtney, Cole, and Lilah. Andrew is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Ann Hennessy Largay, and step-grandparents, Edith and Philip Carter; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Vincent Largay, and his paternal grandparents, Daniel and Mary Jennings. As a child, Andrew was a treasure and was loved deeply with so much promise. Sadly, he lost his valiant struggle with addiction. Addiction does not discriminate. Andrew had a different vision for his recovered life and was working towards building a promising future every day. The day Andrew died a part of all of us died along with him. We will miss him every day and continue to celebrate his life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 10am in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 4pm-7pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. All are welcome to celebrate his life.
