Avery-Storti Funeral Home & Crematory has been serving the South County area for many years. We’re thankful to be an important part of this community and our family will continue our longstanding legacy of helping families honor their loved ones.
Since 1863 we have been serving South County families. Avery-Storti Funeral Home first opened as the Slocum Funeral Home on Prospect Street in Wakefield at the time of horse drawn hearses. It later was moved to the present location on Columbia Street in the early 1900's by J. William Ineson and later operated by the Avery Family, Webster Family and currently under the ownership of Peter Storti and his son Joshua.
Although times have changed, we continue to provide families in South County with caring and professional service. To maintain high standards people have come to expect from us, we are always looking for better ways to serve our community. Our family and staff have developed a tradition of caring by assisting families with funeral arrangements for many years.
In a time of need, it's natural to trust in friends and neighbors for help and support. At Avery-Storti Funeral Home, our funeral professionals are your friends, known and trusted by families who have lived here for generations. We are proud to be the family owned and locally operated funeral home of choice in South County. In 2012 we expanded our services to include the South County Cremation Care Center, offering the only onsite crematory in South County.
Our goal has always been to provide personal, compassionate, and professional service - before, during, and after the funeral of your loved one. When you think about whom to turn to in your time of need, it's nice to know you can always turn to us.
We always intend to provide the best, most professional services. Today, we pride ourselves on being current with the major changes in funeral service trends - and bring those innovations and memorialization options to our client families with integrity and insight. We are proud to embrace traditional values, diversity and innovation in honoring the spirit and life of each person we serve.
